JBS conducted a day Competency Enhancement Workshop on Distress Management during Calamities in 19^th of Poush 2072. The event was organized at the training hall, head office Katahari-1 . About 60 participants had participated in the event. The participants included teachers from various schools, students from JBPS, branch Incharges and staffs of Jeevan Bikas Samaj. Executive Director Mr. Yogendra Mandal, Deputy Director Mr. Sanjay Mandal, Senior Manager Mr. Damodar Regmi, Assistant District Education Officer Mr. Fanindra Khatri, Counselor Mr. Om Sharma and Assistant Officer Ms. Tulasha Kafle, facilitated the workshop.

At the financial support of UNESCO, Kathmandu and technical support of JBS and Megaskill Training and Research Center a book has been prepared on distress management and is in the phase of being published. The objective of the workshop was to collect the views of the general people on the subject matters so that no any essential materials on the related topic will be missed.
